For over two decades, Tracey has been at the forefront of integrative healthcare. As a patient advocate she has worked tirelessly to separate health-promoting information from a sea of misinformation. Most of this work has focused along the clinical importance of the gut-brain-microbiome connection, distinguishing between the astonishing promise and the hype, implementing strategies that can help patients in the here-and-now. Her vision led her to co-found and Host “Town Hall Medicine— The Microbiome Summit”. https://townhallmedicine.com/

As an experienced clinician treating IBS and herself living with IBS, Tracey understands that achieving optimal health starts with looking for and understanding the root cause of illness. It is only with that knowledge that we can begin developing a personalized plan through individualized medicine, diet and lifestyle intervention. Tracey started her educational journey in health at Queen’s University where she graduated with an honours degree in sociology, focusing on health promotion and administration. This led to four years working with the Heart and Stroke Foundation before she decided to further her studies at The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine— graduating in 2001.

Since graduating she has continued to take continuing medical education courses throughout North America, including courses in mind-body medicine offered at Harvard Medical School’s Benson-Henry Institute. These courses have fostered a deep appreciation of rigorous research, and evidence-informed clinical practice. They have also underscored that each patient is a product of unique lived experiences—the gastrointestinal tract and its ecosystem may be central to physical and mental health, but the GI tract is also influenced by the larger ecosystems that surround us.

Tracey is a member of: College of Naturopaths of Ontario (CONO); Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors; Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors

Hi, My name is Erin and I am a passionate and caring Registered Dietitian who strongly believes in the healing properties food and nutrition can have in achieving one’s optimal health. I completed my undergraduate degree in Applied Human Nutrition at the University of Guelph and spent 1 year completing my dietetic internship at North York General Hospital. I am a member in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and a member with the Dietitians of Canada. For the past 9 years, I have been working in outpatient clinical settings counselling patients on chronic disease prevention and management, digestive health, women’s nutrition, weight loss and sports nutrition.

Having dealt with “tummy troubles” my entire life, I was diagnosed with lactose intolerance before I turned 10 and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) in my early 20’s. I know how frustrating and embarrassing IBS can be and am dedicated to help others reduce their symptoms through the implementation of the low FODMAP diet and specific lifestyle modifications. Through both my professional and personal experience, I recognize how important the improvement of gut health is on an individual’s quality of life. Every patient has unique needs that require a personalized approach to help reduce digestive disturbances while ensuring a nutritious and balanced diet. I look forward to motivating and supporting clients on their journey to improve gut health!

Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a sister, a daughter, a cat mom, and a mental health advocate! It was apparent to me from a very young age that I wanted to pursue a career in counselling. It wasn’t until I got diagnosed with IBS and Crohn’s that I began directing my career towards helping others navigate similar struggles. Through my personal experiences, I am able to provide compassionate and empathetic supports from a unique perspective, which allows me the ability to connect with my clients on a much deeper level. I work collaboratively with individuals to regain control of their lives through various evidence-based practices that encourage self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-development. I practice with a holistic approach to mental health care that incorporates integrative healing practices and considers all aspects of an individual’s life. My goal is to create a warm, supportive atmosphere where you feel comfortable to process your difficult emotions, as well as gain new skills and insight towards your healing.

Dr. Tanner is an award-winning Naturopathic Doctor and the founder of Run Lab. It is her Mission to Bring Movement back to Medicine. However, in order to move more, we must first feel better.

Dr. Tanner believes our gut plays a central roll in how well we feel. An upset tummy can disrupt inflammatory responses and the gastrointestinal microbiota. Dr. Tanner has spent over 15 years helping patients like you, Design Your Health. Managing IBS and creating an environment for healthy digestion allows an opportunity to maximize our absorption. At our clinic, you are a key player in your protocol.

You deserve the kind of medicine that inspires you to perform. When we feel strong, we can change our world.

Dr. Tanner was introduced to the world of medicine when she injured herself competing nationally in Tetrathlons (running, shooting, horseback riding and swimming). Frustrated that three knee surgeries still didn’t correct the problem, she searched elsewhere for options. After decades of research, working as a Western University Athletic Therapist and at the Sydney Olympic Games she created protocols that have now allowed her to continue as a marathon runner. She has been invited to speak internationally and has appeared in Today’s Parent, well.ca and Best Health.

Dr. Tanner is a mother to 3 wildly animated children, a horse lover and an unshakable optimist dedicated to helping you feel your best. Together we will find your Inner Superhero so you have the energy to get back to doing what you love.
